British Fairy Swordfish
The Fairey Swordfish, went into service
with the Fleet Air Arm in 1936 and operated from fleet
carriers and escort carriers. The planes finest moment
came during the night attack against the Italian Fleet
at Taranto in November 1940, when they badly damaged
3 battleships, 2 cruisers and 2 destroyers.
